Common questions about Mivai.

Getting started

Who determines the price?
The price is determined based on the applicable maximum prices or the prices that the individual taxi companies operate with. All companies are obliged to display their prices.
What is meant by an estimate?
An estimate is a price calculated based on the taxi station’s prices in the area using an optimal driving route and no delays.
What is meant by a fixed price?

A fixed price means that the price has been set and the amount cannot exceed this total.
The price applies to the shortest route with no stops.
The cheapest rate will apply in areas with a maximum price. If the meter price is less than the fixed price, the meter price will apply.

Why can I only telephone the taxi company in my area?
If you only have the option of telephoning, this is because the company has turned off the app’s direct booking function either for a certain period of time or permanently. It may also be due to the fact we are not integrated with the company’s computer system.
Can I follow the taxi on the map?
Companies that share their position can be followed on the map.

How do I get a receipt?
Receipts are possible if we have integration with the company’s computer system.
Fixed prices for airport journeys
Some companies have added fixed prices for airport journeys.  An ordinary meter price will be displayed if no fixed price has been added. This price is often more expensive than a fixed price.
